Partner Collaboration

Group Courses

  • The Rock Band course is a once a week class where students will be instructed how to listen, perform, and compose pieces of all different styles and genres of music. It will be achieved in a group setting with students working with the instructor and with each other. The students will follow a curriculum designed to educate and improve their understanding of music. The curriculum includes topics such as ear training, instrument studies, musical collaboration, and music theory, all geared toward performance. The goal of this course is for the students to be able to perform their given instrument in both an individual and group setting.

  • The music production course is a once a week class where students will be instructed on how to listen, edit, and create their own musical pieces. The students will follow a curriculum designed to educate and improve their understanding of the music production process. The curriculum will include topics such as song structure, song writing, audio equipment, and music production softwares. The goal of this course is to have students become proficient in music editing and song development through the use of music equipment and software.


Music Lessons/Ensembles

  • Students will learn how to play the guitar properly and how to read standard notation and tablature, chord diagrams, and chord charts. They will learn and practice composition and performance techniques. They will execute these learning experiences through a variety of genres.

  • This class is designed for students to learn the basics of string playing that will enable them to move into upper level string classes. Skills will be practiced in solo playing, orchestral performance, and small ensemble. The general goal is for students to be able to confidently and accurately perform appropriate grade level music.

    • Provided as an ensemble

  • This course is designed to teach the concepts and fundamentals necessary to play the piano. While performing on the piano is the primary goal of this class, the basics of music theory, such as notation, rhythm, melody and harmony, will also be learned.

    • Provided as individual lessons

  • Private Voice Lessons give students the opportunity to learn healthy vocal technique in a one-on-one setting. Singers learn repertoire and songs that they are interested in and may want to perform or audition with.

    • Provided in as individual lessons
